Tarik Bayyan Jackson, professionally known as LocDoors, is a producer, songwriter, recording engineer, artist, manager, entrepreneur and technology builder. His career was shaped inside a family whose work helped move records, develop artists and build lasting careers.

He is the son of producer and guitarist Royal Bayyan and the nephew of the late Adil Bayyan, who discovered and managed Color Me Badd before becoming Kool & the Gang’s longtime manager. Color Me Badd’s debut moved approximately 6.5 million copies worldwide, giving LocDoors an early view of what it takes to turn creativity into an enduring music business.

He later became a partner in his father’s Spook Production, carrying that independent foundation into his own work across music and artist development.

LocDoors’ documented credits include songwriting on Color Me Badd’s ‘Heartbreaker,’ production and engineering on Tupac Shakur’s The Rose That Grew from Concrete, Vol. 1, and recording work connected to Freddie Jackson.

His wider career has included touring as part of Mos Def’s live band, along with studio, development and management work involving artists across R&B and hip-hop. The relationships visible throughout this DigiCard reflect years spent in studios, on stages and in the rooms where music history is made.

Those relationships extend across generations and scenes, with connections to dead prez, Keith Murray, Kurupt, Inspectah Deck, Daz Dillinger, Tone Lōc, PMD and respected New York media figures including Angie Martinez and Angela Yee.

Today, LocDoors is building a home for more than 15 artists through Art-I-Streets Records. The label’s ‘Guns Down Life Up Anthem’ brings together Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, Mighty Mike C, Shelt La Rock and Ogee1523 around a message rooted in culture and community.

His work also extends into technology through Wavely, a music, media and social platform for artists, DJs, producers, podcasters and filmmakers to publish, connect, operate shows and build income.

Recent unreleased production bringing together Keith Murray, Kurupt and Inspectah Deck continues the same throughline: preserve the culture, develop the talent and create the systems that help independent artists move forward.
